Australia’s top energy and gas technology innovators decended on the world stage as part of the international Gastech Exhibition & Conference 2018.
For the first time in the event’s 45-year history, NERA (National Energy Resources Australia Growth Centre for the oil, gas and energy resources sector) brought Australian innovation under the one umbrella at Gastech 2018, facilitating a country pavilion to showcase the best of Down Under a first for the nation and our energy resources sector.
More than 30,000 visitors and 700 exhibitors visited Gastech 2018 in Barcelona Spain, in September 2018.
Speakers at the Australian pavilion during the four-day event included Australian Ambassador to Spain HE Julie-Ann Guivarra, WA Agent General Mike Deeks and Shell Vice President for QGC Tony Nunan.
NERA chief executive Miranda Taylor said ground-breaking Australian innovation and technology leaders was on show at the event.
Ms Taylor said NERA was proud to have taken the lead on this national presence at such an important event, ensuring the world’s oil and gas industry could truly recognise the efforts taken by Australia to become a global energy powerhouse.
